X1 Sliding Vane Pumps

The X1 Series, part of the Iron Line of sliding vane pumps, consists of thermal shock-resistant ductile iron construction with external ball bearings isolated from the pumpage by mechanical seals, designed to couple directly to standard electric motors. This pump's design meets tight installation requirements. XB1 and XB1P models are base-mounted for portable or pad installations. XF1 and XF1P types are fitted with an integral bracket for direct mounting to NEMA C-face motor.

The X1 Series have 1-in NPT tapped ports and offer flow capacities in the range of 5 to 14 gpm (19-53 L/min) and operate at speeds up to 1,750 rpm, handling fluid viscosities up to 100 SSU (20 cP). XF1P and XB1P models offer 50% greater capacity than the XF1 and XB1 models. The integral dual-acting relief valve returns excess flow to the tank if equipped with return to tank pipe.

Features and Benefits
  • Durable pumps for fast and quiet operation
  • Latest 6-vane design contributes to reduced noise levels in the pumps
  • All models have 1-in. NPT tapped ports
  • Accepts standard C-face mounted motors
  • Has an exclusive "combination" valve that acts as both a back-to-tank bypass valve and an internal safety valve (no separate bypass valve needed)
  • Quality design and construction meets tight installation requirements, designed to couple directly with standard electric motors
  • Blackmer mechanical seal and ball bearing construction provide maximum reliability
  • Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
  • Adjustable relief valve protects pump against excessive pressures
  • External ball bearings are isolated from pumpage by mechanical seals to maximize bearing life and minimize contamination risk
  • Advantages of sliding vane technology:
    • Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
    • Excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities
    • Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
    • Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
    • High suction lift and line-stripping capabilities
    • Low maintenance and low life-cycle costs
Application

Transfer and dispensing of:

  • Solvents
  • Light oils
  • Ethanol and other alcohols
  • Flammable liquids
  • Variety of other light, non-corrosive, non-abrasive fluids
