Dispensing Sliding Vane Pumps

Utilized in petroleum dispensing systems, the Blackmer® TXU1.5 and XU2A pumps have been designed to cope with the rigorous needs and certifications required for these applications. Featuring equipment such as external bearing support and internal mechanical seals, these products are ideal for applications where self-priming and dry run capabilities are necessary, or where energy savings are sought out.

These pumps are intended for installation and use in accordance with the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30, and the Automotive and Marine Service Station Code, NFPA 30A. The Dispensing pumps are listed under Underwriter’s Laboratories standard UL79, "Power-Operated Pumps for Petroleum Product Dispensing Systems" (Certificate MH428).

Features and Benefits
  • External roller ball bearings support the rotor from both sides, creating a stable environment for the internal mechanical seals
  • Internal mechanical seals allow for extended dry run and continuous operation with non-lubricating liquids
  • High volumetric efficiency and symmetrical bearing support means less required horsepower than other PD pumps, meaning a cost savings on both motor operation and electricity
  • Advantages of sliding vane technology:
    • Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
    • Excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities
    • Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
    • Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
    • High suction lift and line-stripping capabilities
    • Low maintenance and low life-cycle costs
