LG1 Sliding Vane Pumps

As part of the Cavitation Line, LG1 Series Motor Sliding Vane Pumps feature a 1-in port and have long been popular a propane transfer pump for cylinder filling, small volume motor fueling and supplying small vaporizers. They offer the same heavy-duty construction of larger Blackmer rotary vane pump models and are available in two mounting styles and capacity ranges and are built exclusively for propane, LPG, butane, and anhydrous ammonia.

The LGF1 vane pump model is fitted with an integral bracket and coupling for direct flange mounting to a NEMA C-face motor. This bracket also allows the pump body to be rotated to simplify hookup to piping systems.

The LGB1 vane pump model is equipped with a coupling and bracket for mounting to a conventional base.

All LG1 Series Sliding Vane Pumps are UL-Listed for propane, butane, and anhydrous ammonia.

Features and Benefits
  • Pumps are listed by Underwriters Laboratory for both LPG and anhydrous ammonia (NH3) service
  • Replaceable casing and head allow easy rebuilding of the pumping chamber to like-new condition
  • Ductile-iron construction provides greater resistance to both thermal and mechanical shock
  • Durable design provides fast and quiet operation with sustained performance and trouble free operation
  • Latest 6-vane design contributes to reduced noise levels in the pumps
  • All models have 1-in NPT tapped ports
  • Accepts standard C-face mounted motors
  • Exclusive "combination" valve acts as both a back-to-tank bypass valve and an internal safety valve
  • Blackmer mechanical seals are specifically developed for non-lubricating liquids
  • Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
  • Internal relief valve protects pump against excessive pressure buildup
  • External ball bearings are isolated from pumpage by mechanical seals to maximize bearing life and minimize contamination risk
  • Advantages of sliding vane technology:
    • Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
    • Excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities
    • Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
    • Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
    • High suction lift and line-stripping capabilities
    • Low maintenance and low life-cycle costs
